Services
Ulysees Grant Nason, a native of Aquidneck Island, founded UG Nason's in 1901.
He started the business on 78 Callendar Avenue in Newport with his sons Joseph and Grant.
From the very beginning they installed high quality furnaces, ductwork & other ventilation in addition to tin and copper roofs, downspouts and many other custom copper applications.
The business has thrived and continues to this day providing residential and commercial customers with state of the art heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) products and services that are both energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Since its early roots Nason's has provided HVAC services to some of the largest and most prestigious organizations in and around Aquidneck Island.
These include the Preservation Society of Newport County, Salve Regina University, St. Georges School, the New York Yacht Club and Roger Williams University among others.
The company's significant expertise in ventilation is also called on for complicated applications such as restaurants and commercial laundry facilities for example.
And of course, Nason's custom copper work is evidenced in spires, roofs and other custom applications on some of the most architecturally significant buildings in Rhode Island and beyond.
Nason's has consistently provided the same high level of products, installation and maintenance expertise to its residential customers regardless of the size or complexity of the system to be installed and maintained.
On every job, we take the time to think through issues such as cost efficient operation that is environmentally friendly to maximizing your comfort and being mindful of the aesthetics of the many system alternatives, especially in challenging historic building applications.
With most recently constructed homes being so tight and well insulated the quality of indoor air quality has become more critical than ever.
The ducted systems we install and maintain are a virtual who's who of high quality residential HVAC manufacturers.
These include Amana (for whom we are the exclusive dealer in the area), Bryant, Carrier, Goodman, Lennox, Rheem-Rudd, TempStar and York.
We also offer unparalled expertise and options for ducted HVAC systems including conventional rectangular or spiral ducting.
Your particular situation may lead us to recommend the increasingly popular mini duct systems from Unico.
These are in especially high demand in situations where traditional air conditioning ducting systems are not practical.
Due to system age and the changing cost and efficiency of various fuel sources, Nason's is often called on to convert entire heating systems.
Most typically, these system conversions are from electric or oil to gas systems.
The new systems are more cost efficient to operate and therefore are also better for the environment.
Another typical system conversion would involve the installation of an indirect tankless water heater that does not need the primary heating source of the home to be activated in order to heat the water.
